Mrs H was a recommendation from another client, she required to reduce the maintenance in her existing garden and required to improve the view from the main patio directly at the back of the house. The view from the existing patio looks out on a central lawn around which is a well stocked planted area full of flowering plants of all sizes ,(credit to my client who created this area) . Beyond is a lower rectangular area which was a veg plot and small patio. After a long discussion about different ideas the following brief developed. Replace the patio in lower garden with a larger new Patio of a slightly informal shape which leads into a Stone Chipping area defined in shape with a rustic brick detail behind which is a perimeter area for planting. A bench can be added to the chipping area from which to view the upper garden and this is also viewed well from the enlarged lower patio on which a table and chairs for guests is positioned. An existing step was demolished and a cirular feature step was put in its place.
